Hrithik & Penelope Cruz in Rakesh Roshan's next?

If all goes well, Hollywood stunner Penelope Cruz may soon star opposite Hrithik Roshan in Rakesh Roshan's upcoming film to be directed by Anurag Basu.


Rakesh and Anurag are already in advanced talks with Penelope in Los Angeles. The duo left Mumbai on Thursday. According to sources, the role requires a very beautiful foreigner and both Rakesh and Hrithik felt that Penelope would fit the bill perfectly. They spoke to Anurag about it and he seconded the idea. Thereafter, Filmkraft (Rakesh's film company) got in touch with Penelope's office in LA. And now both the producer and the director are in LA and have already had a meeting with the actress yesterday. But she is yet to sign on the dotted line. Following the success of Metro, Hrithik expressed a desire to work with Anurag and father Rakesh roped him in to direct the next film for their banner. The film, to be directed by Anurag, is an action romance which is expected to hit the floors by the middle of this year. If Penelope signs on the dotted line, this will be a real coup for the Roshans.
