Bollywood and Business Emperors Shake Hands For A Game Of Cricket.

Sharukh , Priety Zinta , Ness Wadia, Vijay Mallya, and some of the big names in the world of business, sat together to bid the world’s best cricketers at the Indian Premier League player auction on Wednesday.

Players from team India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies, Pakistan, Srilanka and Zimbabwe were auctioned in Indian Premiere League Style.

You must be wondering as to what all this means…………….Players from different countries will be representing, states of India.

Chennai, Hyderabad, Banglore, Delhi, Kolkata are all teams contesting against each other.. Indian Players cannot be auctioned,they will have to represent their hometowns.These teams are also called “Franchises”( Guess this iRenaming style of teams is the Bollywood Effect)

Bollywood superstars Sharukh Khan has bought Team Calcutta, Pretty Priety and Boyfriend Ness Wadia have brought Team Mohali.

It was actually funny seeing these top guns of India,bidding Cricketers. The top prices were cornered by Indian and Australian players - ranging from Indian skipper Mahendra Dhoni’s $1.5 million, $1.35 million to Australian allrounder Andrew Symonds and $950,000 to Indian bowler Ishant Sharma and $900,000 to Australia’s Brett Lee.
Well, looks like our bollywood stars and the other top business men are game for making more money in the name of “Love For Cricket”

Sharukh Khan and Priety Zinta have spent huge amounts in buying their franchises, and these people are real smart asses cause they are assured of big returns…………….trust me!!!! Real Fat Amounts.

“Cricket is played with a passion here. I don’t know if this will make money,” said Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, who is part owner of the Calcutta franchise. “None of us here thinks it is small change. None of us are here to throw money. But it’s to try to create something. Just trying to create something makes me feel successful already.”

Khan was excited by the atmosphere of the auction room. “I’ve got addicted to it now,” he said. “The franchisees are all good friends and there was an atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship, of sportsmanship inside.”

Priety Zinta, representing the Mohali Franchise was all excited, “We have Brett Lee, (Kumar) Sangakarra and (Mahela) Jayawardena,” she said. “I’m really excited. Wish us luck.”

The top paid player was Dhoni who was bid by the Chennai Franchise team owned by India Cements. He was paid a whooping amount of 6 crores.
